"There are currently six nuclear submarines of the "Yasen" project and five nuclear missile submarines "Borey-A" at different stages of construction," Korolev said in an interview with the "Krasnaya Zvezda" newspaper.
He recalled that in 2013 the Navy received three missile submarines of the "Borey" project, namely the "Yuri Dolgoruky", "Alexandr Nevsky" and "Prince Vladimir", as well as a nuclear multipurpose submarine of the "Yasen" project, the "Severodvinsk".
"As for non-nuclear submarines, as you know, the Black Sea Fleet has recently been equipped with six modern diesel-electric submarines of the Rostov-na-Donu type, which are being built in a series of such vessels for the submarine force of the Pacific Fleet," - the Commander-in-Chief said.
