More than 100 children had surgery for cleft lip

(Baonghean.vn) - Morning of October 19, TOperation Smile andNghe An Province Children's Fund in collaboration with Vinh International Hospital organizes the Smile Surgery Program for children. It is expected that 120 - 150 children will receive surgery for lip deformities during this period.

Children with cleft lip and cleft palate who meet health requirements will receive surgery during this period.

The Smile Surgery Program for Children in Nghe An will take place from October 19 to 23. On the morning of October 19, the program will conduct screening for about 200 children with congenital lip and palate defects in Nghe An province. Children with cleft palate who do not have congenital diseases such as epilepsy will be selected for surgery. Starting from the afternoon of October 19, the program will perform surgery on children.

Representatives of the Provincial People's Committee gave gifts of encouragement to children with lip deformities.

The total value of the program is over 750 million VND. In addition to free surgery, all children participating in the program are also supported with travel expenses and given an encouragement gift.
