More than 1,000 arrests since Euro opening

Bernard Cazeneuve said security forces had worked hard to prevent fan violence. Since Euro 2016 began, police have made more than 1,000 arrests, detained 600 people and convicted 56.
In particular, the police expelled 34 people from the border, including the hooligans who carried out the fight between English and Russian fans after the match between the two teams in Marseille on June 11, injuring 35 people. Most of the injured were English fans.
It is known that Euro 2016 will take place from June 10 and end on July 10. According to Mr. Bernard, to ensure safety for Euro 2016, the French government has mobilized 90,000 people, including 72,000 police and gendarmes./.
