More than 11,000 Tan Ky students were screened for deltoid fibrosis

(Baonghean.vn) - From April 7-8, 2017, Vinh Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center organized screening for deltoid fibrosis and other motor disabilities for more than 11,000 students in Tan Ky district.

After the screening examination, doctors from the Hanoi Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center will send the results to the Department of Child Protection and Care, under the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the province, with a list of cases requiring intervention to arrange surgery time and provide free orthopedic devices.

As a result, out of the total number of students examined, 5 students were assigned to have surgery completely free of charge at Vinh Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center, the surgery is expected to be performed in June-July 2017.
