More than 120 Nghe An fishermen trained in sea safety
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 8, at Cua Lo Town, Nghe An Maritime Port Authority coordinated with relevant units to organize propaganda on maritime law and training on search and rescue work, and safety at sea for fishermen in the town.

During one session, more than 120 fishermen of Cua Lo town were informed about the basic contents of the 2012 Vietnam Law of the Sea; regulations on maritime law related to fishing activities and necessary and specific information on search and rescue, safety at sea, and implementation of the Sar-79 Convention.

The training course aims to help fishermen understand and strictly implement maritime laws, thereby contributing to ensuring maritime order, safety, security and preventing marine pollution to promote local economic and social development.
On this occasion, Nghe An Maritime Port Authority and Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1 presented life jackets and fire extinguishers to fishermen attending the training course.
