Over two hours of pursuit to apprehend the suspect, born in 1995, who murdered a police major.
After murdering Major Nguyen Dong Canh, Nguyen Van Ty barricaded himself in his private residence. Police forces in Dak Lak used tear gas and rubber bullets to subdue the suspect.
The Xuân Lộc commune police received a report that Nguyễn Văn Ty (born in 1995, residing in Hamlet 4, Xuân Lộc commune) had inflicted injuries on his sister-in-law, Nguyễn Thị Kết (born in 1989, who lives in the same house). The incident occurred on the evening of September 7th.
At this point, the Commander of the Xuan Loc Commune Police quickly formed a task force to go to the area and invite Nguyen Van Ty to the police station for questioning.
The task force consists of Major Nguyen Dong Canh, Captain Ho Tran Phuc, Captain Ta Quoc Luc, Captain Nguyen Hai Luc (officers of the Crime Prevention Police Team) and Captain Nguyen Tien Binh (officer of the Area Police Team).
At approximately 10:30 AM on the same day, as the task force approached his house, Nguyen Van Ty fled into the acacia forest area in Hamlet 4, Xuan Loc Commune. The task force quickly pursued him, but due to the rugged terrain and dense foliage, they lost sight of the suspect.
Subsequently, the task force continued to expand the search area. At 11:00 AM the same day, Captain Nguyen Tien Binh discovered that Major Nguyen Dong Canh had died with multiple wounds on his body.
Upon receiving the report, the Xuan Loc Commune Police quickly notified the Xuan Canh Commune Police, the Song Cau Ward Police, and other relevant forces to coordinate the search for the perpetrator.
Colonel Vo Duy Tuan, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Police, personally went to Xuan Loc commune to direct the implementation of professional measures.apprehending the perpetrator.to apprehend the perpetrator.
After a period of searching, the police discovered Nguyen Van Ty hiding in the bathroom of his house and urged him to surrender, but Ty remained defiant.
At this point, the arresting force sprayed tear gas and fired several rubber bullets to subdue the suspect. At 12:40 PM on the same day, the police successfully arrested Nguyen Van Ty.
On the morning of September 9th, the Dak Lak Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute and detain Nguyen Van Ty for four months for investigation into the crime of "murder".
The police in Dak Lak province are continuing to question Nguyen Van Ty to investigate his involvement in the murder of Major Nguyen Dong Canh.
Regarding this incident, on the morning of September 9th, General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Public Security - signed a decision to posthumously promote Nguyen Dong Canh from Major to Lieutenant Colonel.
In addition, Minister Luong Tam Quang - Chairman of the Management Board of the Public Security Forces' Solidarity Fund - also issued a decision to provide financial support of 100 million VND from the Public Security Forces' Solidarity Fund to the family of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dong Canh.
