Over 2 billion VND to install traffic lights at the intersection of N5 and National Highway 1A
(Baonghean.vn) - At the intersection of N5 Road and National Highway 1A (Km446+375), Nghe An province installed a traffic light cluster to ensure safety for people passing through this "black spot".
N5 intersection with National Highway 1A located in Nghi Long commune, Nghi Loc district, after more than 1 year of opening, has become a "death" intersection due to many consecutive traffic accidents.

On March 2, 2018, Nghe An Newspaper published an article: "Death intersection on National Highway 1A in Nghe An" to warn about the lack of traffic safety here.
On August 31, the Vietnam Road Administration issued a document approving the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone Management Board to install a traffic light system at this intersection.
Project items include: traffic light system, hazard sign set, 17 meter high lighting pole cluster, lighting control cabinet...
The total cost of the project is over 2 billion VND. Currently, the construction unit has basically completed the installation work.
