More than 20 people were fined for using drugs while driving in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - In less than 1 month (from February 27 to March 24), the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police discovered more than 20 cases of drivers testing positive for drugs.
Standing Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh has just signed a series of decisions to administratively sanction dozens of drivers for using drugs while driving.
Previously, on March 24, the inspection team of the Provincial Traffic Police Department on duty at Km 418, through Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, administratively inspected the car driven by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Giap (born in 1994, residing in Hau Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district).

The authorities took a sample for testing and the result was that Mr. Giap tested positive for drugs. The provincial police have prepared a file and submitted it to the provincial People's Committee for sanction according to their authority. Recently, the Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Le Hong Vinh, signed a decision to administratively sanction Mr. Nguyen Thanh Giap.
Specifically, Mr. Giap was fined 35 million VND and had his driver's license revoked for 23 months for driving a car on the road while having drugs in his body.
From February 27 to March 24, the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police discovered more than 20 cases of drivers testing positive for drugs. According to Clause 10, Article 5, Decree 100 of the Government, each driver will be fined 35 million VND and have their driving license revoked for 23 months.

In addition to Nghe An, many drivers from many other provinces such as Ha Tinh, Ha Nam, Quang Binh, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh were also found positive for drugs by Nghe An Traffic Police. Among them, many drivers were driving without a driver's license and disobeying traffic police orders.
