(Baonghean.vn) - Regarding more than 20 "ownerless" wooden slabs at landmark L10, in sub-region 490, Na Ngoi commune (Ky Son). People in Xieng Xi and Buoc Mu villages confirmed that these are sa mu wood, the location of discovery is 200 meters from the border post.

An anonymous witness recounted: On November 17, in Xieng Xi village (Na Ngoi commune), a sick person passed away. Relatives of this unfortunate person went into the forest to find wood to make a coffin. When they reached landmark L10, they unexpectedly discovered more than 20 wooden slabs. According to this witness, the wood was still fresh when discovered, indicating that it had just been cut down and sawn into slabs. Notably, the location where the wood was discovered was only about 200 meters from the border checkpoint.

“While people wanted to go into the forest to find stakes to repair their houses or find wood to make coffins for the dead, the officials made things difficult or easy for them. Yet dozens of wooden boards were sawed down so easily,” said the anonymous witness.
Recorded at the scene, there were 21 sa mu wood panels with dimensions: 2.6 m long, 0.8 - 1 m wide, 20 - 30 cm thick. Total volume is about 3.5 m3./.
