More than 200 million VND was donated, helping poor students in Nghe An fulfill their dreams of attending university.

Because after Nghe An Newspaper reported on the risk of missing out on university admissions for many students with difficult circumstances, we have received help and visits from organizations and philanthropists, helping them to continue to fulfill their dreams.
"It's like a fairy tale!"
As Nghe An Newspaper reported aboutspecial family circumstancesTran Thi Hong Ngoc lives in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An. The family has only 2 mother and child, the mother is disabled and has a serious illness. It seemed that her academic career would have to stop here to go to work to earn money for her mother's medicine, but a "miracle" came. On the afternoon of August 21, after learning about the situation of female student Ngoc through information posted in the newspaper, the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities visited her home to visit her family and welcome the poor female student to enroll. The school decided to waive all expenses such as tuition fees for the course and dormitory fees for her.
It is known that up to now, the amount of support from organizations and kind hearts for the child has reached more than 100 million VND.

On the morning of August 22, Ngoc officially became a new student. The female student happily shared: “I promise to try my best to not let everyone down. The reason I chose to study Journalism is because I want to become a reporter in the future and write articles calling for help for those in difficult circumstances like me. Hopefully, in the future, through the publication of information in the press, more students will have the opportunity to study, develop their talents and dreams.”
"If there had not been timely articles published about Ngoc's situation, she would not have had the opportunity to enroll in school on time and fulfill her dream. Sincerely, thank you and highly appreciate the role of the press in all areas of life, especially the current education sector."
Miracle after miracle
The “miracle” also came to the poor student Pham Nhan Quyen. Quyen was born into a family with extremely difficult circumstances. Quyen and his mother lived together and he never knew who his father was. His mother was sick and not very agile.

But with the determination to overcome difficulties, Pham Nhan Quyen, a student of class 12A1, Quynh Luu 1 High School, scored 27.35 points and was admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Also thanks to the article.“A male student from Nghe An who scored 27.35 points is at risk of missing out on university admission”posted on Nghe An Electronic Newspaper and widely shared on social networking sites, organizations and volunteers have come to support him both spiritually and materially. The amount of money Quyen has received so far is nearly 100 million VND, specifically a commercial joint stock bank has donated 50 million VND, the charity group "Belief" has supported 22 million VND, fellow countrymen's associations have donated more than 20 million VND...

In the 2019 National High School Exam, her admission score was 28.55 points. Huong dreams of becoming a student at the University of Foreign Languages, VNU and later becoming a good interpreter. However, due to her circumstances: her father passed away early, Huong is the eldest child in a family of 5 siblings, her mother's income is only about 3,000,000 VND - 3,500,000 VND/month, the cost of living in Hanoi and tuition fees are both high, so Huong's dream of becoming an interpreter seems difficult to come true.
After being published and widely spread on social networking sites, the article received many positive responses. Upon learning the information, the staff of the University of Foreign Languages, VNU directly contacted Nghe An Newspaper to connect and support Huong specifically: The school will provide appropriate scholarships, arrange free accommodation at the University of Foreign Languages dormitory during the study period; The VNU Youth Union will support part of the living expenses, introduce part-time jobs and support the procedures for borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank for Vo Thi Huong. In addition, the Pacific University (Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) sent a direct dispatch to the editorial office of Nghe An Newspaper with the wish to award a full scholarship to the female student.
On August 11, Vo Thi Huong officially became a new student of the high-quality Chinese language major at the University of Foreign Languages.
*Like my caseTran Dinh Xuan Sang- a poor orphan student passed the entrance exam to the Air Force Academy. 3 days before the start of school, he sold all his old books for only 80,000 VND to go to school. Nghe An Newspaper wrote an article sharing his pitiful situation and immediately received valuable help. The amount of money that benefactors sent him was about 7 million VND and especially Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - General Director of TECCO Group will support part of his living expenses from 1 to 2 million VND every month during the time Sang is studying.
