(Baonghean.vn) - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Hong Vu said that out of the total 99,000 Nghe An citizens who have just returned to their hometowns when the Covid-19 epidemic broke out for the fourth time, more than 21,000 people have a need to work in the province.

Reporting at the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in October 2021, Mr. Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said that since the 4th outbreak of Covid-19, more than 99,000 people have returned to the locality from the epidemic area. Of which, 75,000 people (accounting for 75.75%) are of working age. According to the survey, up to now, there are 45,292 people in need of jobs, of which more than 21,000 people are in need of work in the province.

Currently, there are nearly 300 enterprises with a need to recruit over 67,000 workers; of which enterprises in the province have a need to recruit over 37,000 workers. Nghe An Employment Service Center has provided information, consulting and introducing over 30,809 job positions to workers; supported consulting and introducing jobs to 2,517 workers in need.

The Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also said that up to now, 31,014 workers at enterprises in the Southeast Economic Zone have returned to work, reaching a rate of 97.3%. The number of workers temporarily out of work is 848 people. In the first 10 months of the year, jobs were created for 32,425 people and it is estimated that jobs will be created for 38,850 people by the end of 2021.

Also according to Mr. Doan Hong Vu, up to now, the province has approved 52,042 beneficiaries (of which, 47,236 are direct beneficiaries, additional support for pregnant women and children is 4,806) to receive financial support according to Resolution 68/NQ-CP with a budget of more than 76,572 billion VND (reaching 45.78% of the number of beneficiaries and 36.87% of the expected support budget).

7,155 units with 155,487 employees have had their contributions to the Occupational Accident and Disease Insurance Fund reduced by VND 14,245 billion; 13 units with 821 employees have had their contributions to the Retirement and Death Fund temporarily suspended, by VND 5.6 billion.

Regarding the support package under Resolution 116/NQ-CP, Nghe An has basically completed the determination of the number of reduced contributions for 6,943 units, with 158,911 employees, the adjusted provisional budget (from October 2021 to September 2022) is about 85.6 billion VND.

As of October 25, 66,320 workers participating in unemployment insurance and 5,425 people who stopped participating in unemployment insurance have been resolved with a total amount of 170 billion VND.

From May 24, 2021 to October 22, 2021, the whole province has 3,080 children who are F0, F1 subjects. To date, more than 3,124 children have been supported with food and additional support according to Resolution 68 of the Government with a budget of more than 1.6 billion VND. There are 14 children who are children of pregnant women infected with Covid-19 and orphans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and families in difficult circumstances, the support budget is 22 million VND.

The province has provided 341,100 kg of rice to 4 districts and towns including Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Ky Son and Hoang Mai town to support 4,579 households with 22,740 people who are hungry. The province is currently submitting to ministries and branches to report to the Prime Minister to provide more than 700,000 kg of rice to 13,631 households with more than 46,700 people in 17 districts, towns and cities.

The leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs affirmed that the Department has coordinated with the Department of Finance to do a good job of coordinating and advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue decisions on timely settlement of support funds, ensuring the right beneficiaries. Up to now, there have been no complaints or denunciations reflecting the wrong implementation of the regulations of the Central Government and the province on the social security support package according to Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government and Decision No. 23/2021/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. This work was inspected by the inspection team of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and highly appreciated.

Also at the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in October 2021, the Provincial People's Committee approved many draft Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, draft Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee, and draft important Projects.
