More than 3,000 students attended the Provincial Excellent Student Exam

(Baonghean.vn) - More than 3,000 excellent students selected from the basic excellent student competition will participate in the provincial excellent student competition on March 14 and 15.

The provincial excellent student exam for grade 9 and grade 11 in the 2016-2017 school year will be held at Ha Huy Tap High School and Le Viet Thuat High School - Vinh City. Participating in the exam are 1,286 grade 9 students and 2,098 grade 11 students of high school and vocational high school (vocational education students). These are excellent students who participated and were selected from the team selection exam organized by the localities.

According to regulations, the provincial excellent student exam will be divided into 2 groups. In which, for high school level, group B will include high schools in 5 mountainous districts: Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Quy Chau, Que Phong and non-public high schools. Group A is the remaining high schools. For students of the Continuing Education system, there is only 1 group. 11th grade candidates will take the exam in Chemistry, History, English, French, Russian, Physics, Geography, Civic Education, Information Technology, Literature, Mathematics and Biology.

For secondary school level, group B includes 5 mountainous districts: Con Cuong, Tuong, Duong, Ky Son, Quy Chau, Que Phong and the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School in the above districts. Group A includes the remaining districts, cities and towns. Regarding the exam subjects, students will take the subjects of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, French and Civic Education.

According to the plan, the provincial exam for excellent students will be held on March 14 and 15. After March 22, the Department of Education and Training will announce the exam scores. Candidates will take each exam in 150 minutes. Also according to the regulations, students who are grade 11 students and are members of the national high school exam team for a subject will be given special priority in the first prize of that subject.
