Over 3,000 children in Nghe An will receive free heart disease screening.
(Baonghean.vn) - The "Heart for Children" program, offering free screening for congenital heart disease, was held in Vinh City, Nghe An province on the morning of June 7th.

During the first screening session, nearly 800 children aged 0-6 from districts across the province received free medical check-ups, screenings, and treatment advice from specialists at the central and provincial levels.

This is the second time the program has been held in Nghe An. Previously, nearly 2,000 children in the province were screened for congenital heart defects.
In this program, individuals diagnosed with congenital heart disease and facing difficult circumstances will be guided by the organizers through the application process to receive free surgery.

From 2011 to the present, more than 100,000 children in 46 provinces and cities have been screened, detecting over 1,000 cases of congenital heart disease; thereby helping to fund treatment and save the lives of many underprivileged children with congenital heart disease in rural areas across the country. "Hearts for Children" is a charitable program jointly implemented by Viettel Group and the Vietnamese Heart Foundation for over 10 years.

The "Heart for Children" program in Nghe An, taking place from June 7th to 9th, is expected to screen 3,000 children in the area for congenital heart defects.
