This year's national vocational skills assessment exam for level 2 and level 3 has nearly 300 candidates who are skilled and experienced lecturers from vocational schools and workers working at enterprises in the North Central provinces.

The exam is organized in two parts: knowledge test and practical skills test. Through the assessment, the aim is to recognize the professional skills of workers accumulated during the learning and working process and encourage workers to continuously improve their qualifications and professional skills.

Vietnam began organizing national vocational skills assessment exams in 2011, with the first occupation being mining. Currently, the number of occupations tested for national vocational recognition has increased to 21, of which 3 occupations are assessed according to Japanese standards. After nearly 5 years, 8,000 people have been recognized as having national vocational qualifications. In the exams, the rate of workers recognized as having national vocational skills level 1 is about 70%, level 2 is 50% and level 3 is 30%.
