More than 300 people got food poisoning at a wedding
On April 13, hundreds of people were taken by ambulance from Hun village, Chieng Co commune, Son La city to the Emergency Resuscitation Department - Son La Provincial General Hospital due to food poisoning at a wedding in the village.
The patient's family said: on the afternoon of April 12, Mr. Quang Van Uon's family in Hun village held a wedding for his daughter. The family slaughtered a cow and a pig, and the feast included a plate of tangerines, raw vegetables, and homemade wine.

After the guests left, everyone felt dizzy, but thought it was because they were drunk so no one paid any attention. By around 2am on April 13, most of the wedding guests were vomiting, some had convulsions in their limbs, and some vomited blood...
Doctors at Son La General Hospital said: the patients were hospitalized due to food poisoning and are being given intravenous fluids and detoxification treatment.
The hospital is increasing medical staff to the Chieng Co Commune Health Station (where hundreds of patients are suffering from poisoning) to provide first aid, and is continuing to mobilize 5 ambulances along with local motorbikes to transfer severely poisoned patients from the commune health station to the hospital's Emergency Resuscitation Department for treatment.
Currently, the Provincial General Hospital has about 100 poisoned patients transferred for treatment and about 200 other patients are being treated at the Chieng Co commune health station./.
