After the guests left, everyone felt dizzy, but people didn't pay much attention, thinking it was just from drinking alcohol. Around 2 AM on April 13th, most of the wedding guests showed symptoms of vomiting; some experienced convulsions, and some vomited blood…
Doctors at Son La General Hospital said that the patients were admitted due to food poisoning and are currently receiving intravenous fluids and detoxification treatment.
The hospital is reinforcing medical staff at Chiềng Cọ Commune Health Station (where hundreds of patients are suffering from food poisoning) to provide first aid, and is also mobilizing five ambulances along with motorbikes from local residents to transport severely poisoned patients from the commune health station to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit for treatment.
