More than 300 athletes attend the national Taekwondo tournament in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Beautiful martial arts, fierce competitions in the spirit of noble sportsmanship. That is the record at the National Taekwondo tournament in the Northern region.

On the morning of February 17, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation coordinated with the Vietnam Student Sports Association and the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the 2017 Northern National Taekwondo Tournament at the provincial Sports Center.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of High Performance Sports. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports. |
The tournament aims to maintain and promote the physical training movement following the example of great Uncle Ho; encourage and motivate the Taekwondo training and competition movement among students to improve health, physical development, contributing to comprehensive education for students; increase meetings, exchanges, learning experiences and mutual understanding of staff, teachers, coaches and students, contributing to building a healthy cultural lifestyle in schools...
300 athletes are divided into age groups: Primary school students (6-11 years old); Secondary school students (12-15 years old) and High school students (16-18 years old). Competition contents: Men's and women's boxing (individual and team); Men's and women's fighting.
Through the tournament, we aim to discover and select outstanding athletes for the national student team to participate in domestic and international Taekwondo tournaments.

Nghe An delegation participating in the tournament includes 49 athletes. These are excellent athletes selected from 7 Taekwondo clubs throughout the province. |
