(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 31st, the Nghe An Farm Economy Association held its first Conference of Outstanding Advanced Farm Representatives..

Attending the event were: Mr. Nguyen Van Minh – Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises; and Mr. Dinh Viet Hong – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Overview of the Conference

In recent years, thanks to the Party and State's innovative resolutions, policies, and laws such as: the Central Committee Resolution on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas; Government Resolution 03/2000 on farm economics; the amended Land Law… a legal framework has been created for the development of farm economics.

The Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises awarded commemorative medals for contributions to the development of agriculture and rural areas to provincial leaders.

Thanks to this, our province currently has 4,274 farms and family farms that effectively utilize land, mobilize capital for farm development, and provide employment for over 17,096 workers. Many farm production and business models have achieved high efficiency, notably Do Luong district with 87 farms and a value of goods reaching nearly 101 billion VND; Yen Thanh district with 82 farms and a value of goods exceeding 129.5 billion VND; and Quynh Luu district with 60 farms and a value of goods reaching nearly 90 billion VND…

The goal for the period 2015-2020 is for the Nghe An Farm Economy Association to continue promoting emulation movements and developing suitable farm models. The aim is to have over 1,200-1,500 farms meeting the criteria stipulated in Circular 27/2011 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises awarded Certificates of Merit to outstanding collectives and individuals.

The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results.

Speaking at the conference, comrades Nguyen Van Minh – Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises; and Dinh Viet Hong – Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Nghe An Farm Economic Association in the past period, while emphasizing: In the coming time, it is necessary to build more exemplary farms and focus on production and business according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP processes to achieve high productivity, create safe agricultural products and achieve the highest economic efficiency. Emulation should be linked with state management agencies on farm economics, farmers' associations, and compliance with the law and environmental protection. The Vietnam Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Nghe An Farm Association.

At the conference, the Association of Farms and Agricultural Enterprises awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 outstanding collective and 71 outstanding individuals, and 27 individuals received commemorative medals for their contributions to the development of agriculture and rural areas. The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 outstanding collectives and 7 outstanding individuals.
