More than 4 billion VND to implement the project to reduce child marriage

(Baonghean.vn) – This is the funding source for the Project to reduce child marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority areas in Nghe An province, which was implemented from 2015 to 2020.

The Project implementation unit will investigate, survey, collect information and evaluate relevant data on the current situation of early marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority areas in the province.

On that basis, the host unit will select and build 8 pilot models in 8 communes in 4 districts of ethnic minorities with high risk of early marriage and consanguineous marriage. These models will be summarized, evaluated and replicated in the province.

In addition, the Project also focuses on propaganda, mobilization, counseling, raising awareness, and changing the behavior of ethnic minorities in marriage, early marriage, and consanguineous marriage. The Provincial Ethnic Committee is the standing agency in charge of implementing this Project.
