Over 400 athletes participated in the Traditional Sports Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Nghe An Province.
On the morning of November 29th, in Quy Hop commune, the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Traditional Sports Competition of Ethnic Minorities.
Attending the opening ceremony were representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quy Hop commune, participating units in the competition, and a large number of athletes.

Over the past period, thanks to the attention of Party committees and government at all levels, the movement has progressed.physical education and sportsIn particular, physical education and sports among ethnic minority communities have seen rapid and relatively stable development. Traditional sports and folk games have been restored and developed, and sports competitions are being organized on an increasingly larger scale and with richer forms of expression.

The 2025 Traditional Sports Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Nghe An Province is not only a place for meeting, exchanging experiences, and honoring cultural identity, but also aims to explore folk games and ethnic sports to preserve and promote the traditional cultural and sporting values of ethnic groups. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to discover talented athletes for the province to train and improve their performance, preparing them to participate in the national competition.

The competition brought together over 400 athletes from 25 communes in the mountainous and highland areas, competing in 4 sports (volleyball, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, and throwing the ball).

The organizing committee is expected to hold the closing ceremony and award presentation for the competition on the afternoon of November 30, 2025.
