More than 41% of Nghe An's 12th graders do not apply to university
(Baonghean.vn) - These are statistics on the results of 12th grade students' admission applications in the 2019 National High School Exam. In particular, there are many schools where the rate of non-registration for university admission is up to 80 - 90%.
According to the Department of Education and Training, in this year's National High School Exam, the whole province has 32,410 candidates registered to take the exam, of which 2,507 are independent candidates. Of these, 17,938 candidates registered to take the graduation exam and apply for admission to universities and colleges. The remaining 13,357 candidates registered to take the exam only for graduation, accounting for 41.21%, this rate is about 2% higher than the previous school year and the highest in the past few years.

Currently, through registration, there are 32,413 wishes of candidates registering for universities and colleges. Of which, Vinh University has the largest number of registered wishes with 9,279 wishes. Next are the National Economics University: 4,118 wishes, Hanoi University of Technology: 3,822 wishes, Hanoi University of Industry: 2,738 wishes, Da Nang University of Economics: 2,260 wishes. The remaining schools of Nghe An such as Vinh Medical University, Vinh University of Technical Education, Nghe An University of Economics have about 300 - 1,700 wishes.
Regarding the registration of wishes, currently only a few top schools such as Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Ha Huy Tap High School, Nam Dan 1 High School, Le Viet Thuat High School, and Ethnic Minority High School have a high rate of registration for admission to universities, over 90%. The rest of the students tend to choose different streams, in which up to 80 - 90% of students from Continuing Education Centers do not register for university admission.
