Piaggio Vietnam has begun recalling 628 imported vehicles to inspect fuel pumps...

Toàn bộ số xe triệu hồi đều được sản xuất từ ngày 13/5/2009 đến ngày 31/8/2010 và do Piaggio Việt Nam phân phối qua kênh nhập khẩu nguyên chiếc.
All recalled vehicles were manufactured from May 13, 2009 to August 31, 2010 and distributed by Piaggio Vietnam through the fully imported channel.

From today, Piaggio Vietnam begins recalling 628 imported vehicles to check the fuel pump.

Of which, there are 2 Piaggio Beverly 125 ie vehicles, 359 Vespa GTS 125 ie vehicles and 267 Vespa LXV 125 ie vehicles.

All of these vehicles were manufactured from May 13, 2009 to August 31, 2010 and distributed by Piaggio Vietnam through the fully imported channel.

According to the announcement just released by Piaggio Vietnam, through periodic inspections in the Piaggio Group's quality control system, the Italian fashion car company discovered a problem in the fuel pump rotor.

This malfunction can cause difficulty starting the engine or can cause the engine to stop when the vehicle is operated continuously for long periods of time and in extremely hot ambient temperatures.

Piaggio Vietnam said that so far, the market has "not recorded any incidents due to the above mentioned possibility. However, with the viewpoint of ensuring the highest responsibility for customers using Piaggio products, Piaggio Group decided to recall all vehicles in question to thoroughly resolve this issue".

Accordingly, Piaggio Vietnam will conduct free inspection and replacement for all vehicles included in the recall campaign. The estimated time for inspection and problem solving is from 40 minutes to 90 minutes.

In order to successfully implement the program, Piaggio Vietnam will send letters and make direct phone calls to each customer who owns a vehicle subject to the recall. At the same time, the Italian motorcycle company also recommends that customers contact the nearest authorized Piaggio dealer directly to make an appointment before bringing the vehicle in for inspection.

Previously, Piaggio also conducted two vehicle recalls in the Vietnamese market in 2014. Specifically, the recall of 10,072 Vespa Primavera vehicles in late May 2014 due to a brake system error and the recall of 14,291 Vespa vehicles in September 2014 due to a fuel line error.
