Piaggio Vietnam has begun recalling 628 imported vehicles to inspect the fuel pump...

Toàn bộ số xe triệu hồi đều được sản xuất từ ngày 13/5/2009 đến ngày 31/8/2010 và do Piaggio Việt Nam phân phối qua kênh nhập khẩu nguyên chiếc.
All recalled vehicles were manufactured between May 13, 2009, and August 31, 2010, and distributed by Piaggio Vietnam through the channel of importing completely assembled vehicles.

Starting today, Piaggio Vietnam begins recalling 628 imported vehicles to inspect the fuel pump.

Specifically, there were 2 Piaggio Beverly 125 ie scooters, 359 Vespa GTS 125 ie scooters, and 267 Vespa LXV 125 ie scooters.

All of these vehicles were manufactured between May 13, 2009 and August 31, 2010 and distributed by Piaggio Vietnam through the channel of importing completely assembled vehicles.

According to a recent announcement by Piaggio Vietnam, during routine inspections within the Piaggio Group's quality control system, the Italian fashion brand discovered a malfunction in the rotor of the fuel pump.

This malfunction can potentially cause difficulty starting the engine or may even cause the engine to stop working when the vehicle is operated for extended periods in excessively hot ambient temperatures.

Piaggio Vietnam stated that to date, "no incidents related to the aforementioned issue have been recorded in the market. However, with the view of ensuring the highest level of responsibility towards customers using Piaggio products, the Piaggio Group has decided to recall all vehicles under suspicion to thoroughly resolve this issue."

Accordingly, Piaggio Vietnam will conduct free inspections and replacements for all vehicles included in the recall campaign. The estimated time for the inspection and repair is between 40 and 90 minutes.

To ensure the program's success, Piaggio Vietnam will send letters and make direct phone calls to each customer who owns a vehicle subject to the recall. At the same time, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer also requests that customers contact their nearest authorized Piaggio dealer to schedule an appointment before bringing their vehicle in for inspection.

Previously, Piaggio also conducted two vehicle recalls in the Vietnamese market in 2014. Specifically, a recall of 10,072 Vespa Primavera scooters at the end of May 2014 due to a brake system defect, and a recall of 14,291 Vespa scooters in September 2014 due to a fuel delivery system defect.
