More than 70 high-rise apartment buildings 'forget' about residents' safety
The latest results of the review and statistics from the Hanoi Fire Police Department show that as of June 30, in Hanoi, there are still 72 high-rise apartment buildings violating fire prevention regulations in construction investment (of which 71 projects have been put into operation but have not been accepted for fire prevention, 1 project has been constructed but the fire prevention design has not been approved).
Mainly low cost apartments
Among the 72 high-rise apartment buildings violating fire prevention regulations (in operation but not yet accepted), most are low-cost housing projects located in Tu Liem, Hoang Mai and Ha Dong districts.
The champion in the number of projects that were "named and shamed" is the No. 1 Private Construction Enterprise in Dien Bien province - in the role of investor. Typically, in Ha Dong district, a series of low-cost housing projects were recorded as follows: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT6, Trade Center and luxury apartments (Xa La Urban Area, Phuc La Ward).

Of the 72 high-rise apartment buildings that violate fire prevention regulations (in operation but not yet accepted), most are low-cost housing projects. |
In Thanh Tri and Hoang Mai districts, the violations of the projects carried out by tycoon Le Thanh Than include buildings CT5, CT8, CT10 (Thanh Tri); apartment building CT11 (Kim Van - Kim Lu urban area, Hoang Mai district); buildings VP3, VP5, VP6 (Hoang Liet)...
Besides the notorious investor such as the No. 1 private construction company in Dien Bien province, there are also a number of cases that have been mentioned in compliance with construction laws in general and fire prevention and fighting regulations in construction investment in particular such as Hai Phat, Dai Mo Construction Mechanical Joint Stock Company, and Hanoi Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1.
Recently, after being mentioned in the list of high-rise buildings that have not completed fire safety inspection (but have been put into operation), a representative of Hai Phat said that its two projects in Ha Dong and Dan Phuong will be inspected in June. However, in the list updated on June 30 by the authorities, the two high-rise buildings (CT3 Tower and the base area of The Pride Apartment Building; CT02 AB Building in Tan Tay Do Urban Area) continue to appear!?
Hanoi Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (HICC1) is also a notable name when it gathers many high-rise apartment buildings that do not meet fire prevention and fighting regulations - causing danger during operation. Specifically, in Nghia Do New Urban Area (Bac Tu Liem District) with buildings: CT2B, CT2C, CT1A, CT1B.
High-end is not...safe?
The list of high-rise apartment buildings violating fire prevention regulations during operation also mentions a series of high-end projects that are "famous" in the Hanoi real estate market.
Specifically, in Nam Tu Liem district, a high-end complex project has been constructed but the fire prevention and fighting design has not been approved (the investor is simultaneously holding a top-notch project on the Pham Hung - Duong Dinh Nghe axis and also has fire prevention and fighting problems).

From social housing (invested by Song Da and Bac Ha Urban Area) to high-end housing like Sun Square (implemented by Thang Long Urban Development Investment Joint Stock Company), all contain hidden dangers regarding fire safety. |
Nam Tu Liem area also recorded Thang Long Urban Development Investment Joint Stock Company violating fire prevention and fighting laws at the Sun Square high-end office and housing service complex (No. 21 Le Duc Tho Street).
More seriously, fire prevention and fighting regulations in investment and construction of high-rise buildings are being "forgotten" by some investors of social housing projects. The most obvious are the two social housing projects in Ha Dong district (143 Tran Phu, invested by Song Da Urban Development and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company) and Cau Giay district (Office, commercial service and social housing complex at 30 Pham Van Dong, implemented by Bac Ha Construction and Trade Service Investment Joint Stock Company).
