More than 800 thousand tourists came to Nghe An in 4 months

(Baonghean.vn)- April is the month that kicks off the tourist season in the coastal areas of Nghe An. In the first four months of 2017, the number of tourists staying in Nghe An is estimated at 827,000.

During the month, holidays such as Hung King's death anniversary (March 10th of the lunar calendar), April 30th and May 1st increased the demand for sightseeing of people and tourists. In addition, also in April, Vincom Group opened the Vinpearl Cua Hoi high-end resort complex, many tourist attractions in the province such as Tea Island (Cau Cau Dam), Ban Nua Community Tourism, Khe Ran Village (Con Cuong District), Muong Thanh Safari Dien Lam Eco-tourism Area attracted the attention of tourists in and outside the province... so the number of tourists to Nghe An this month increased rapidly.

In particular, according to reports from travel companies (Phucgroup, Nghe An Tourism Company, Uc Viet, Thai Son, Viettravel...), the business results of travel companies in April 2017 increased dramatically in both inbound and outbound customers. Many companies had to refuse to accept tours and hire tour guides from the provinces to ensure timely service for customers. Outbound customers mainly went to Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Korea...

The estimated number of tourists staying overnight in Nghe An in April is estimated at 285,000, equal to 109% compared to the same period in 2016, of which international visitors reached 7,000, equal to 112% compared to the same period in 2016. Tourists welcomed and served by travel agencies reached 6,650, equal to 141% compared to the same period in 2016. Total revenue from tourists reached 349,677 billion VND, equal to 122% compared to the same period in 2016, of which tourism revenue reached 195,350 billion VND.

In the first 4 months of 2017, the total number of overnight tourists in Nghe An is estimated at 827,000, equal to 113% compared to the same period in 2016, of which international visitors are estimated at 22,600, equal to 109% compared to the same period in 2016. Visitors welcomed and served by travel agencies reached 13,150, equal to 139% compared to the same period in 2016.

Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND891,000 million, equal to 120% compared to the same period in 2016, of which tourism service revenue is estimated at VND541,000 million.
