More than 90 reporters and editors from 3 North Central provinces attend advanced course

(Baonghean.vn) - The course to improve the quality of reporters and editors attracted more than 90 reporters and editors from a number of press agencies in the provinces: Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

On the morning of June 8, in Vinh city, the School of Training and Development of Information and Communication Management Staff, Ministry of Information and Communication, held the opening ceremony of a training course for the title of reporter and editor level III. This course aims to improve the quality of activities of journalists, meeting the media trends in the new context.

With 240 lessons taking place in 1.5 months, reporters and editors will be exposed to 20 topics, focusing on the following contents: Implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on journalism, publishing, and foreign information today; some legal documents related to journalism and publishing activities; professional ethics and social responsibility of journalists and other skills...


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Duc Thien - Principal of the School of Training and Development of Information and Communication Management Staff affirmed that the quality and effectiveness of press activities and press agencies depend on many factors, in which the quality of the team of editors and reporters is a decisive factor in the production of press works, contributing to the content and form of newspapers and magazines.

Therefore, training and fostering this team is a key task of journalism and press agencies, especially in the current period.

The training course aims to equip and update basic knowledge about the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws on editing, publishing and the requirements and conditions for the title of reporter and editor grade III.

In addition, students also have access to other professional skills, such as skills to determine the purpose, audience and scope of editing and reporting topics; skills to use structure and language in genres and journalistic works; reporting skills; skills to handle situations in reporter communication; skills to edit news on social networks, etc.
