The new Amaze has been codenamed Honda-2UB, and features a sharper design and appears to be a fusion of traditional Honda looks with a single grille and hood inspired by its sibling, the Honda City.
In addition to being inspired by the Honda City, the Honda Amaze is also part of the 2018 Honda lineup like the Odyssey and Accord. As such, the new Amaze also gets LED headlights in higher trims and LED daytime running lights. The front and rear bumpers have also been redesigned to give the car a sleeker look. Finally, the alloy wheels have been upgraded with a completely new design.

The 2018 Honda Amaze gets a touchscreen infotainment system similar to the Honda City. The automatic climate control has been updated, replaced with new touch buttons, and the instrument cluster has been switched to a blue backlight.
The 2018 Honda Amaze will continue to use the same engine lineup as the current Amaze. It will be offered with a 1.2-liter I-VTEC diesel engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Honda says it has retuned the diesel engine to make it smoother and quieter without changing the power.
The new Amaze will compete with the likes of DZire, Ford Figo Aspire and Hyundai Xcent.
