The new model makes it easy to spot the differences, such as the redesigned headlights - now LED on the top-spec V, with a different shape than before. The chrome bar is now thinner and extends towards the headlights, similar to the design on the Civic; while the grille is honeycomb and has a chrome strip below. Overall, the front of the car is more elegant than before.

At the rear, the V version is also equipped with LED lights, along with a sportier rear bumper and integrated brake lights.

Finally, we must mention the newly designed two-tone alloy wheels, size 16" on the V version.

Details of the interior changes are not shown in the clip above, but Honda said there are not many changes compared to the current version; some details are replaced with more premium plastic and leather, the steering wheel has integrated buttons, the interior LED lighting system and entertainment technology comes with a 7-inch central touch screen.

Notable standard safety and convenience features include: keyless smart key, start/stop button, 6 airbags, 4-zone automatic air conditioning, ABS anti-lock braking system, VSA vehicle stability system...

The new Honda City still uses a 1.5L 4-cylinder VTEC engine, with a maximum capacity of 117 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 146 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm, combined with front-wheel drive via a CVT gearbox with semi-automatic paddle shifters or a 5-speed manual gearbox. In the Malaysian market alone, the Honda City will have a maximum capacity of 120 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque.

There will be 6 new paint colors; of which, Cosmic Blue Metallic is completely new, in addition to the 5 available colors: Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Pearl Black, Lunar Metallic Silver, Taffeta White and Orchid Pearl White.

In addition, if previously City had 4 versions (S, S+, E and V), now there are only 3 (S, E and V).
