The beautiful Honda Civic 5-door hatchback in Rallye Red costs 773 million VND
Besides the sedan version, in Thailand, Honda Civic 2017 also has a 5-door hatchback version, the car is priced at 773 million VND in the land of a million elephants.
At the 2018 Bangkok Motor Show, Honda Thailand displayed the 2017 Honda Civic 5-door hatchback version with Rallye Red paint that stood out right in the middle of the booth.
In Thailand, the Honda Civic 2017 is sold in two variants including sedan and 5-door hatchback. The Honda Civic 2017 5-door hatchback version was introduced at the Bangkok Motor Show last year 2017, this year the Japanese car company continues to bring to the exhibition the Civic hatchback 2017 with Rallye Red paint.
Similar to the sedan version, the Civic Hatchback in Thailand is equipped with LED headlights and rear lights, front LED headlights integrated with DRLs daytime running lights with automatic on/off function, LED fog lights, shark fin antenna and 17-inch multi-spoke wheels with 215/50R17 tires.
Regarding the engine, similar to the 2017 sedan version being sold in Vietnam, the car uses a 1.5L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine (I4) producing a maximum capacity of 173 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 220 Nm at 1,700 - 5,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels (FWD) via a CVT automatic transmission.
Compared to the sedan version in Vietnam, the Civic hatchback has the same width of 1,798 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. However, the hatchback version is 20 mm higher and 112 mm shorter than the sedan version. Compared to the previous generation, the Civic Hatchback is 30 mm wider, 136 mm longer and 20 mm lower. The more aerodynamic body design helps improve the drag coefficient compared to the previous model by about 3%, in addition, the center of gravity of the car is also reduced compared to the previous generation.
Headlights and taillights use LED technology, large front air vent plastic details with honeycomb bars
The taillight cluster has a boomerang-shaped design that people often jokingly call "shrimp lights", the taillights use LED technology and are connected together by a glossy black rear spoiler with integrated LED brake lights right in the middle. Not stopping there, above the spoiler there is another small spoiler that helps the overall rear of the car to be quite balanced, looking very sporty.
Similar to the sedan, the exhaust pipe is hidden under the rear bumper.

Civic Hatchback is equipped with 6 airbags (two front, side and curtain) and a series of safety systems. In Thailand, Honda Civic hatchback is priced at 1,169,000 THB equivalent to 773 million VND, currently there is no information about Honda Vietnam distributing Civic hatchback 2017 in the Vietnamese market.
