In the Japanese market, the Honda City compact sedan is known by the name Grace. Recently, Honda introduced a new version of the Grace in Japan called the LX.

What makes the new Honda Grace LX special is its use of a conventional gasoline engine instead of the hybrid powertrain of its predecessor. Specifically, the "heart" of the new Honda Grace LX in the Japanese market is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, DOHC, direct-injection gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 132 horsepower. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT), allowing the new Honda Grace LX to achieve a fuel consumption of only 21.8 km/liter, equivalent to 4.5 liters/100 km.

Meanwhile, the Honda Grace Hybrid in the Japanese market consumes an average of only 34.4 km/liter, equivalent to 2.9 liters/100 km. The corresponding figure for the new generation Honda City currently distributed officially in the Vietnamese market is 5.8 liters/100 km. The Honda City in the Vietnamese market is equipped with a 1.5-liter, inline 4-cylinder, SOHC, i-VTEC engine with a maximum power of 118 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm.

For now, Honda has not released much information regarding the equipment of the Grace LX for the Japanese market. All that is known is that the new Honda Grace LX will feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, and keyless entry. Additionally, it will have automatically folding exterior mirrors when the doors are locked, and will be available in four paint colors: Gold Brown Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, Tinted Silver Metallic, and Premium Crystal Red Metallic. Of these, the Premium Crystal Red Metallic color is exclusive to the new Honda Grace LX.

In the Japanese market, the Honda Grace LX is now available with a starting price of 1.75 - 2.09 million Yen, equivalent to 310 - 369 million VND.
