Honda HR-V - Urban SUV priced from 19,100 USD
The compact SUV is officially on sale in the US, powered by a 1.8 I4 engine and available from May 15.
The HR-V is based on the Honda City platform, below its older brother, the CR-V. In late 2014, in Thailand, Honda launched the HR-V for the Southeast Asian market and became a competitor to the Ford EcoSport. Nearly a year after its debut in the US in April 2014, the 2016 HR-V urban crossover officially has a price.

The HR-V has a sporty and youthful design, LED taillights and 17-inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels. In the US market, the 2016 HR-V is sold in 3 versions. The standard LX version costs 19,100 USD with features such as a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, and a rear camera. It also has a sunroof, 60/40 folding rear seats, a 4-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth connectivity.
In addition to the standard equipment, the EX version, priced at $21,200, adds automatic headlights, privacy glass, fog lights, a power sunroof. Automatic climate control, heated driver's seat. The interior is decorated with chrome, a 6-speaker sound system and an infotainment system with a 7-inch screen.
The top-of-the-line EX-L Navi, priced at $24,600, comes with leather seats and steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, roof rack, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio, and GPS navigation.
All three versions are equipped with a 1.8-liter inline-4 engine with 141 horsepower and 172 Nm of maximum torque. Standard equipment is a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Optional CVT transmission and full-time 4-wheel drive.
In the US, the 2016 Honda HR-V competes with the Chevrolet Trax.
