The Honda WR-V will be in the segment below the HR-V and CR-V, with the same size as competitors such as the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. The car is on display at the 2016 Sao Paulo International Auto Show in Brazil. The interior has not been revealed by the Japanese automaker. Honda said that WR-V is an abbreviation of the phrase "Winsome Runabout Vehicle". On the front of the car is a thick chrome strip in the language of Solid Wing Face.
The new WR-V was developed by Honda based on the needs of customers in the South American market, which is also a market that favors compact, high-chassis cars such as the Ford EcoSport or Hyundai i20 Active. Developed on the basis of the Jazz chassis, the Honda WR-V also has a compact design, making it easy to maneuver in crowded cities.

The Honda WR-V will likely be equipped with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder multi-fuel engine, mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission from the Jazz, which is also the engine currently installed on the Honda City model distributed in the Vietnamese market. It is also possible that the Honda WR-V will be equipped with a 1.8-liter engine from the HR-V. However, the Japanese automaker has not yet announced any information about the Honda WR-V.
The design of the Honda WR-V is heavily influenced by its two older brothers, the HR-V and CR-V. Specifically, the front and rear design of the car are heavily inspired by its two brothers. The car's appearance has a strong style with a skid plate under the front of the car, a roof rack, a raised chassis and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Honda WR-V is expected to debut in Brazil first, followed by a rollout to other small car markets. The current price is still a mystery and the Japanese automaker is keeping it a secret.
