Meanwhile, Cao Thai Ha won the Best Supporting Actress award in the TV series category for her role as Dieu Ngoc in "Ban Chong".
The Golden Kite for the best TV series this year went to "Come Home, My Child" and the best director went to Nguyen Danh Dung, also of this film. Bao Han, the youngest sister of Anh Duong in "Come Home, My Child" won the Promising Actress award. Meanwhile, "Rose on the Left Chest" received the Silver Kite award, and "Run Away from Youth" received the Certificate of Merit. Thus, both "Come Home, My Child" and "Rose on the Left Chest" won 3 awards. This continues to be a fruitful year for female awards for VFC, as most of the films that premiered won awards.

In the field of feature films, the Golden Kite was awarded to the film "Mother's Happiness", a work that was boycotted by audiences because of the scandal of the main actors Cat Phuong - Kieu Minh Tuan. Surprisingly, this film also brought home a series of other individual awards for Best Screenwriter, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor for Kieu Minh Tuan, Best Actress for Cat Phuong and Promising Actor for Huy Khang (as Tim). Thus, "Mother's Happiness" won 6 awards. Kieu Minh Tuan aloneAwarded for 2 roles in "Mother's Happiness" and "Sunshine 3".
The war film "The Legend of Quan Tien" released on May 22nd won the Silver Kite Award. This film also won the Best Music Award (composer Tran Manh Hung). The certificates of merit were divided equally between the two films "The Monster Brother" and "The Old Lady 3". The remaining individual awards went to Isaac (as Lam in the film "The Monster Brother") - Best Supporting Actor; Hong Van (as Grandmother in "The Old Lady 3") - Best Supporting Actress. "Hai Phuong" - the film that once held the record of over 200 billion VND in box office revenue and represented Vietnam at the Oscars won 2 Silver Kite Awards and Best Artistic Design.
This year, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kite Awards Organizing Committee did not hold a major award ceremony, canceled the red carpet event, and only conducted a small award ceremony at both ends of the country. After the award ceremony in Hanoi, the award ceremony will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 16.
