Hong Nhung: 'I once intended to flirt with My Linh's husband'

At the age of 16-17, "Miss Bong" tried to approach musician Anh Quan but gave up because she knew My Linh loved him first.

On the evening of October 20, My Linh and Hong Nhung participated in the music night "Love Songs for You" to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day. The program also featured the participation of saxophone artist Tran Manh Tuan, with music arranged by musician Anh Quan.

Hong Nhung said that when she was young, she "flirted" with Tran Manh Tuan. But in the end, he chose her best friend. "A few years later, there was another guy who came back from abroad - musician Anh Quan, I also approached him. We knew each other since I was 11 years old, Anh Quan was nearly 13 years old. Anh Quan returned to the country when he was 18 years old. But when I approached him, I found out that My Linh had known me before when they went to Germany to perform together," the singer said.

Later, "Miss Bong" told her colleagues that "Anh Quan was so smart" because he chose My Linh to marry. Hong Nhung explained that Anh Quan was much happier marrying My Linh than marrying her. "My Linh teased me: 'It's not too late, sister'. But how could I do that? If I did that, I would no longer have any morals...". The singer's story made the audience laugh.

During the music night, artists Tran Manh Tuan, Hong Nhung and My Tam presented the audience with familiar songs such as "Love Story", "Wind, leaves and trees", "Remembering the rain", "Day far from you", "I wish to return to Hanoi", "Old town"...

My Tam performed "Thank you lover", "Not just me", "Because I love you so much".

My Tam was surprised when the audience gave her water spinach.

Two audience members dressed as the main characters in the MV "Don't Ask Me" - My Tam's recently released music video - came on stage to give her flowers. The singer was surprised when one of the bouquets was made from water spinach.

In response to fans' affection for the love story of Ut in the newly released MV, My Tam sang the song "Don't Ask Me" for fans.

Singer Quang Dung sent to the audience a series of lyrical songs including "Because That Is You", "Last Song", "Waiting For You", "Have You Seen Spring Yet?"

The artists ended the show with a medley of "Autumn for you - Are you the autumn of Hanoi?"
