(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 29th, the Department of Education and Training held a press conference on the preparations for the 2014 exams, announcing new points in the 2014 high school graduation exam. 2014 was a year of significant changes in examination procedures, particularly in the high school graduation exam, university and college entrance exams, and the 10th grade entrance exam. To ensure the exams were conducted seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations, the Department of Education and Training established steering committees from the provincial level down to the district and city levels. Simultaneously, it promptly issued guidance documents on exam preparation, exam organization, and detailed technical instructions for each step of the examination process.

According to projections, the high school graduation exam will have 82 examination boards with 1589 examination rooms and approximately 36,336 candidates participating. The entrance exam for grade 10 will be held in the form of an entrance exam, scheduled to take place on June 23rd and 24th, 2014 at 68 examination boards. The entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School will be combined with the grade 10 entrance exam, and a separate exam will be held on June 26th, 2014, with subjects including Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language, and one specialized subject.

At the press conference, many opinions were raised by media outlets, noting issues such as the review of exam papers, the quality of candidates, the work of reporters during exams, the arrangement of exam rooms, the priority given to students who achieved excellent academic results in the 10th grade exam, and post-exam communication. Representatives from the Department of Education and Training answered these questions and affirmed that they would closely monitor all processes to ensure a safe and successful exam.
