Extraordinary meeting to dismiss Vice Chairman of City People's Committee to sign decision to compensate wife
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee signed a series of decisions, including a decision to compensate his wife who had been dismissed from her position.
Chief of Office of Cao Lanh City People's Committee (Dong Thap) Nguyen Ngoc Luan Ly has just confirmed that the City People's Council has just held an extraordinary meeting, dismissing Mr. Dang Van Nang from the position of People's Council delegate and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Previously, the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee decided to discipline Mr. Nang by removing him from all Party positions.
In 2014, the People's Committee of Hoa An Commune (Cao Lanh City) built a rural traffic project in Group 7, Hoa Long Hamlet. The project is over 1,400m long, 5.5m wide, with a total investment of over 7.6 billion VND.
Of which, the construction investment capital is nearly 3 billion VND, the value of land and architectural objects donated by the people is more than 2.3 billion VND, the compensation support fund is more than 1.7 billion VND, the investment capital comes from the new rural budget and people's contributions.
About 39 households are affected by this project. The project is invested by the People's Committee of Hoa An commune and the commune approved the technical economic report in October 2013.
After that, the project was "withdrawn" to Cao Lanh City and Mr. Dang Van Nang was the Chairman of the compensation, support and resettlement council.
From here, he signed a series of unusual documents, including a document compensating his wife, Ms. Dang Thi Thu, more than 237 million VND.
According to the conclusion of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the accusation that Mr. Dang Van Nang took advantage of his position and authority to sign and approve the compensation plan against regulations so that his family could profit from the state budget in the construction project of groups 1, 7 and 8 in Hoa Long hamlet is true.
Authorities determined that this was a project jointly built by the State and the people. Mr. Dang Van Nang issued 5 decisions on compensation and support for 4 households that were not in accordance with regulations, causing a loss of more than 592 million VND to the budget./.
