Cooperation in protecting security and order between Nghe An and Xieng Khouang

The delegation of Nghe An Police and Border Guards was led by Colonel Le Khac Thuyet - Deputy Director of Nghe An Police. The delegation of Xieng Khouang Provincial Police was led by Colonel Bun Lot Kham Pheng Phan - Director of Xieng Khouang Police.

The two sides exchanged information and grasped the security and order situation in the border area, especially the plots of hostile forces to take advantage of religious, ethnic, democratic, human rights issues... to divide and sabotage the two Parties and the two States of Vietnam and Laos.

Since 2017, Nghe An police and border guards and Xieng Khouang provincial police have detected, investigated and arrested 34 cases, 65 subjects, seized nearly 83 heroin cakes; more than 72,000 synthetic drug pills and many exhibits and documents related to security and order in the border area.

In the spirit of special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Nghe An Police and Xieng Khouang Police agreed to sign the 27th memorandum of understanding on cooperation in protecting public security and order in 2018.

The content focuses on issues related to the activities of hostile forces and reactionary organizations in exile; advises the Party Committee and government to direct and strengthen propaganda, education, and mobilization of people to comply with the laws of each country, strictly implement border regulations, respect each other's independence and sovereignty; create all favorable conditions for receiving returned illegal immigrants;

At the same time, strengthen coordination to implement more effectively the state management of security and order in border areas, especially the management of population, household registration, issuance of identity cards, management of weapons, explosives, etc.
