"I think no one likes being called a hot girl no matter how beautiful they are. I also receive some rude comments, mainly from foreigners," said actress Bich Ngoc.

I used to think that making art was just a joke.

-Is it easy for you to appear in two prime time TV series at the same time?

I myself did not expect that the two films would be broadcast at the same time. This was a coincidence that I did not think about, but when the director chose me, I went to act in the film. Regarding the role of Han in "Balana Hostel", it is true that I went to the casting twice before being accepted.

-What made a student of Foreign Trade University decide to pursue a career in film? With an appearance like Ngoc's, it certainly wouldn't be difficult to get into the University of Theatre and Cinema. Why did you decide to study at a school unrelated to the arts?

When I was in high school, preparing for the university entrance exam, I often joked with my parents that I should take the aptitude test to get into an art school. At that time, I just thought it was a joke because my goal was still Foreign Trade. After studying for 1 year at the school, my mother suggested that I register for a TV acting course held every 4 years. I tried to register for the exam and was lucky enough to be accepted. Perhaps my fate with the profession started from there.

During the course, the teachers also advised me to take the entrance exam to SKDA to study further, but I refused because my studies at Foreign Trade University were still unfinished, it was difficult to drop out to study at SKDA and studying at both schools was not enough. I decided to study acting with experience at the film studio and continue my studies at Foreign Trade University. I always thank this school because I used to be a very shy and unconfident girl, when I went to school, I learned and changed myself a lot.

Bich Ngoc - role of Han in the movie "Balana Hostel"...
... and the role of Thuy Chi in "Love and Ambition" are both extremely beautiful.

- Do your parents support you in pursuing a career in acting?

My parents did not object to my acting but also gave me a lot of advice and wanted me to complete my studies at Foreign Trade University.

I dare not watch movies with my family because I am embarrassed.

-Still so young and inexperienced as a mother, what challenges did you face when playing the role of single mother Han in "Balaha Guesthouse"? How did you act out the feeling of having blocked milk ducts while raising a young child? What did your parents say when they saw you act in this movie?

When I got the role of Han, I was both happy and worried. Worried because expressing a mother's love for her child is really difficult, it is very different from other types of love. The skills and habits of a mother are also things I need to learn a lot to portray a single mother. To act out the scene of blocked milk ducts, before the filming day, I searched online to see what the expression and feeling were like, went to the filming location to ask women who had given birth if this was the right way to do it, was it the right feeling...

The fragile beauty of the actress born in 1997.

My parents didn't say anything about the movie, they just said they watched it every day, and didn't comment on me (my mother commented on the other characters but not me, maybe that's just the way my family has always been). Every time I went to the movies, I watched it alone because it would be awkward if my family members watched it with me.

- Quynh Kool shared that when filming "Balaha Hostel", there were many scenes during rehearsal where everyone was laughing so much that they couldn't film, to the point where there was a close-up scene where she had to ask someone to tickle her armpits to make her laugh. What was the memorable scene for Han?

It’s true that we laughed from the time we left to the time we got home from filming. I also have scenes that I can’t forget during the filming process, especially with the character of little Milk. Filming with a baby is always the hardest because you can’t control the baby. There were days when the baby was so fussy that we couldn’t film, to the point where the crew was almost helpless.

The 23-year-old actress experienced motherhood for the first time on film in "Balana Guesthouse".
I myself, playing the role of Mother Sua, also had to follow the baby, always mentally ready to wait for the baby, sometimes feeling very awkward because I couldn't comfort her or my acting emotions were down because I waited for her for too long,... But thanks to that, the whole crew and I also had very happy memories, when the baby cried, the whole crew acted and used props to comfort her, and there were times when the baby was so cute that everyone in the crew wanted to hold her. Especially among the babies playing Sua, there was one baby who only followed me, whoever held her cried, but I held her and was very attached.

-In the movie "Balana Hostel", whose performance impressed Ngoc the most? During the filming, were you very close to Xuan Nghia?

Each of you has your own strengths, so when I filmed with you, I learned a lot from everyone: from Quynh how to express emotions, from Duong body language, from Nghi how to create characters,... In general, all of you and your friends helped and supported me a lot. I am close to everyone, not just Nghi.

No one likes being called a hot girl forever.

Bich Ngoc does not want to be called a hot girl.

-Possessing a beautiful appearance and once known as a hot girl, does Ngoc like people to call her by this title? Have you ever been harassed and said rude words by male fans just because you are too beautiful?

I don’t think anyone likes being called a hot girl all the time, because no matter how beautiful you are, you will get bored of looking at it. I have also received some rude comments from people, mostly foreigners, but I don’t care much about it.

-Right after appearing in "Love and Ambition", Ngoc had a kissing scene with Nhan Phuc Vinh. Was it difficult to act out this scene? Not only Nhan Phuc Vinh's character Minh, but many viewers are curious about the fate of the character you play in this movie?

The kissing scene was quite quick and easy, I didn't have to practice or re-act so it took about 2-3 times. I don't know if I can reveal it or not because I'm afraid of spoiling the movie's content so I won't answer this question specifically.

-Before "Balana Hostel", Ngoc acted in movies like Thach Thao, Di Qua Mua Ha, Tinh Khuc Bach Duong... but not many audiences knew about her. Are you sad about that?

The fact that few audiences know me doesn't make me sad because fame is not my goal. I just hope that the audience loves the character I play and sees me improve through each film.
