Advanced training in operating search and rescue boats.

(Baonghean.vn) -On May 6th, the 414th Engineering Brigade of the 4th Military Region held the opening ceremony for a training course to enhance skills in operating search and rescue boats. Eighty officers and staff from various localities and units participated in the training course, having already received high-speed boat operation certificates from the 4th Military Region.

Over the course of 12 days, trainees received instruction on the following topics: Features, structure, and principles of various types of aluminum-hulled boats, rubber boats, and motorboats used in search and rescue; Lifebuoy equipment and usage methods; Inland waterway collision avoidance rules; Practical exercises in launching ST-750 and ST-660 high-speed boats, assembling motorboats with boats, and VSN (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) linkage; Rescue techniques; and Techniques for operating ST-750 and ST-660 high-speed boats.

The 2013 advanced training in search and rescue boat operation aimed to help officials and staff who also operate high-speed boats for search and rescue operations along the coast, rivers, and lakes of localities and units to proficiently use flood and storm prevention and search and rescue equipment; and to practice and handle situations in flood and storm prevention and search and rescue when incidents occur.
