Khanh Hoa Club coach resigns
Coach Vo Dinh Tan decided to resign from Khanh Hoa Club after a long time of struggling with the team.
"I have announced my resignation to the leaders of Khanh Hoa Club, everything ends here. I think I have tried my best, but there are many things that are beyond my ability. I would like to thank the fans, players and leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for always being dedicated to football," coach Vo Dinh Tan told VTC News.
On the morning of December 12, Khanh Hoa Club agreed to let coach Vo Dinh Tan resign. Mr. Tan had talked about quitting before the 5th round of V.League took place. In this match, Khanh Hoa Club lost 0-2 to Binh Duong Club and faced many difficulties in the goal of staying in the league.
Currently, Khanh Hoa Club has not found a suitable person to replace coach Vo Dinh Tan. The information that Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan will become technical director and take over the head coach position of coach Vo Dinh Tan is not accurate.
Talking about the reason for leaving his job, Mr. Tan said: "I have no problem with Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan, we have known each other for a long time and are close. The problem here is that the team's difficulties are not being resolved. I have been with them for many years, this is enough."
According to VTC News, Khanh Hoa Club has been facing many financial difficulties and has only recently become a little more stable with the arrival of a new sponsor. At the beginning of this season, they also intended to use only 2 foreign players and promote many young players to save costs. The Central Club has yet to pay many debts left by the old sponsor.
Previously, the total amount of money owed by the players was very large, also reaching over 10 billion VND. They have not received 2 billion VND in promotion bonuses at the beginning of the 2023 season.
Many bonuses for matches have not been paid yet. However, Khanh Hoa players have agreed not to take the bonuses because they are beyond the team's ability to pay. They only hope to be paid a signing bonus.
The players are still owed 70% of the signing fee for the previous season, which the old sponsor had to pay but the unit handed over the team without paying. In the new season, the taking over unit has not paid the signing fee for the first leg of the 2023/2024 V.League. Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Culture and Sports to meet with the sponsor and Khanh Hoa Club to find a solution to overcome the difficulties. Accordingly, the team's September and November salaries and shoe money will be paid in full and the first signing fee will be paid before Lunar New Year 2024.
