(Baonghean.vn) - Coach Pham Anh Tuan was very happy and joyful when Song Lam Nghe An won 2-1 against Khanh Hoa Club.
On the evening of May 18, the "reverse final" match between Song Lam Nghe An Club and Khanh Hoa in round 19 of V.League 2023/24 took place at Vinh Stadium.
Speaking at the press conference after the match, coach Pham Anh Tuan said he was very happy after the important victory: "I am very happy and pleased that Song Lam Nghe An had an important victory against Khanh Hoa today."
Explaining the disjointed start of Song Lam Nghe An in the first few minutes, Mr. Tuan said: "In the first few minutes, we did not get into the rhythm well, but then the players regained their composure and controlled the tempo of the match. The players are still young, so they were not mentally stable when entering the match."
Despite being behind in the first half, Song Lam Nghe An players played strongly and scored two consecutive goals in the beginning of the second half. Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said: "I told the players to forget the first half and start the second half explosively. Let's control the ball and attack, and take advantage of the time when Khanh Hoa's physical strength is low."
When asked about the goal of the Nghe An team after the important victory against Khanh Hoa, the captain from Nghe An shared: "Our goal is to escape the playoff position, thereby ensuring a ticket to stay in the league."
