Hung Nguyen: 7 communes reach NTM finish line

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 10 months of 2016, Hung Nguyen has proactively implemented the plan to build New Rural Areas (NTM), and up to now, 7 communes have met NTM standards.

As a result, in 10 months, the communes have invested in 38.4 km of rural roads (20.4 km of concrete roads, 18 km of intra-field roads), 15.9 km of canals and 67 other works of various types, with a total investment capital of 73.3 billion VND (of which the investment capital for building the new rural program is 14.7 billion VND, and 2,710 tons of cement have been received).

The district has 7 communes meeting new rural standards, including: Hung Tan, Hung Tien, Hung Thong, Hung Xa, Hung Phuc, Hung Tay, Hung Thang. The district has achieved an average of 13 criteria/commune, an increase of 1-2 criteria/commune compared to the same period. The district has also organized a summary of the new rural program for the period 2011-2016 to promote the movement in the coming years.
