Hung Nguyen held a ceremony to announce the decision that the district has met new rural standards.
On the morning of June 7, the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Nguyen district solemnly held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing the district as meeting new rural standards in 2023.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; together with leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and leaders, cadres and people of Hung Nguyen district.

Average income per capita reached 61 million VND/year
In his speech at the announcement ceremony, comrade Le Pham Hung - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for New Rural Construction of Hung Nguyen District affirmed: The National Target Program for New Rural Construction is a major, correct and popular policy of the Party and State.
With the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people enjoy", new rural construction has become a widespread movement, spreading strongly in social life. By 2024, the district's economic growth rate reached 18.6%. The additional income is 61 million VND/person/year.

This result is thanks to agricultural production having many steps forward, strongly shifting towards increasing value, applying science and technology, associated with building a chain linking production and product consumption.
Industry - handicrafts, services, and trade are increasingly developing, especially VSIP Industrial Park has now created jobs for more than 25,000 people, increasing people's income.

The whole district has mobilized more than 3,922 billion VND to invest in infrastructure construction and production development; in which resources from the people and the business community account for a large proportion. By the end of 2023, Hung Nguyen has fully met the 9 criteria of a new rural district according to regulations.
On November 19, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1243/QD-TTg recognizing Hung Nguyen district as meeting new rural standards in 2023. This is an important milestone, a crystallization of the solidarity, consensus and spirit of overcoming difficulties of the entire Party, people and army of the district.

Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for New Rural Development in Hung Nguyen District also committed: In the future, after merging administrative units according to the 2-level government model, the newly established communes will continue to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved criteria; aiming to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, smart new rural areas, to focus on developing ecological agriculture - modern rural areas - civilized farmers.

Continue to improve new rural criteria
On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Nguyen district in the new rural construction movement.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized: Hung Nguyen is a land of culture, has an important strategic position, and a long history of glorious traditions; Hung Nguyen people are intelligent, studious, have a rich tradition of patriotism, are creative and hard-working in production.

To continue promoting the strengths and achievements of the rural areas, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee, government and people of the newly established communes after the administrative unit arrangement to continue improving the quality of new rural criteria, especially the criteria on environment, income, culture and security and order to aim at building new communes into advanced new rural units and model new rural areas.

Pay more attention to social security, vocational training, job creation, preserving the cultural identity of the homeland, building the image of Hung Nguyen worthy of being a land of culture, with a long and glorious historical tradition.



At the same time, effectively restructure the agricultural sector, develop the rural economy; bring local key products into the One Commune One Product Program to increase added value, in line with the digital transformation process, adapt to climate change; focus on developing rural industries; improve the operational efficiency of cooperatives; support local businesses; improve the quality of vocational training for workers... contributing to increasing people's income in a sustainable manner.

Focus on preserving, maintaining and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of the homeland and the nation. Promote and improve the quality of public administrative services; improve the quality of grassroots government operations; promote the digital transformation process in the new countryside, enhance the application of information technology, digital technology, and build smart countryside; ensure and enhance people's access to the law; take care to build a strong political system, and ensure national defense and security.
