Hung Nguyen organizes the festival at Ong Hoang Muoi Temple.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 1st, 2014, corresponding to the 10th day of the 10th lunar month, the festival at the Temple of Ông Hoàng Mười was held in Hưng Thịnh commune, Hưng Nguyên district. Representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, units from Nghi Lộc, Cửa Lò, and Vinh City, along with leaders of the Party and government of Hưng Nguyên district and a large number of visitors from all over attended the ceremony.
The Ông Hoàng Mười Temple, also known as Mỏ Hạc Linh Từ, is dedicated to the Mother-Father-Son religion, with the main deity worshipped being Ông Hoàng Mười – a man of great skill in warfare, literary talent, and who often bestows blessings upon people. This year, the Ông Hoàng Mười Temple festival in Hưng Nguyên district will be held from November 29th to December 1st.
Prior to the grand ceremony, cultural and artistic activities, sports events, the release of floating lanterns on the Moc River, and the opening ceremony, including the procession of the royal decree from the Nguyen family's ancestral temple in Xuan Am village to the temple, and the announcement ceremony, took place. The grand ceremony and thanksgiving ceremony were held on the main anniversary (October 10th in the lunar calendar) in a solemn and dignified manner, reflecting the rich spiritual and cultural traditions of the nation. The Ong Hoang Muoi Temple festival is an opportunity for pilgrims to express their gratitude to the deities who contributed to fighting foreign invaders and protecting the country.
