Huong Giang Idol carries more than 100kg of luggage to compete in Miss International Queen 2018

On the afternoon of February 24, Huong Giang Idol arrived at Tan Son Nhat airport to depart for Thailand to compete in the Miss International Queen 2018 pageant. The singer wore a striking red outfit and waved brightly when she saw people coming to see her off.

Some loyal fans held Huong Giang's photo and name, cheering her on before she entered this special beauty contest.

Huong Giang brought quite a few suitcases of clothes including everyday clothes, evening dresses... with a total weight of about 50kg. Not to mention, the beauty also had another suitcase containing traditional costumes weighing up to 55kg. The crew accompanying the female singer consisted of 6 people to support her.

Huong Giang is the first transgender person in Vietnam to participate in this competition. Therefore, she received attention from both the media and the audience. Before leaving, the Department of Performing Arts highly appreciated Huong Giang's spirit when she submitted a detailed application for permission, although this was not required.

For Huong Giang, participating in an international beauty pageant despite being a famous singer is a risk and a trade-off. However, she wants to be a pioneer, opening up opportunities for other transgender people in Vietnam to speak up.

Huong Giang was born in 1991 in Hanoi, she is 1.70m tall, weighs 52kg with measurements of 86-62-90. Huong Giang changed gender after graduating from high school. She became known when she participated in the 2012 Music Idol contest. After the contest, although she only stopped at the top 4, Huong Giang had a wide-open singing career. She is quite in demand for singing shows, attending events and participating in game shows. Huong Giang is considered one of the most beautiful transgender people in Vietnam.

From February 25, Huong Giang will participate in the contest's activities such as charity work, talent competitions, sports, national costumes... The final will take place on the evening of March 9, broadcast live on one of the two largest channels in the land of golden temples.

Miss International Queen Pageant is the largest beauty pageant for transgender beauties around the world, held annually in Thailand. In 2016, the contest was held in Pattaya, Thailand. Surpassing 24 international representatives, the host country's beauty Jiratchaya Sirimongkolnawin was crowned.
