Huong Giang Idol: 'I sing better than Chi Pu'

The singer is confident in herself and sympathizes when seeing the hot girl being criticized for entering the music industry.

On November 21, Huong Giang held a press conference to launch the MV "Because of Love, We Get Married" in Ho Chi Minh City. At the event, the singer was praised by Luu Huong Giang for her improvement in singing, especially when hitting high notes. When asked to compare her live singing ability with Chi Pu's, Huong Giang confidently said: "I don't say I sing well, but it's not that bad. Studio techniques only help to make the song's color clearer, but the emotions and pitch in the voice are still handled by myself. I sing live better than her."

Huong Giang believes that for singers with good starting points such as beautiful voices, formal education..., it is understandable that they are upset with someone who does not sing live well. According to her, both sides are not wrong, they just have different views. She draws on her own experience to give advice: "If you want to pursue what you love to the end, you have to accept the storms of public opinion."

"Look at the divas, how many of them make billion-dollar MVs, because they just need to sing and the audience is already captivated. People who started out with unrecognized voices like me or Chi have to invest a hundred times more than others, taking this to make up for that," she said.

Huong Giang spent her own money to seriously invest in the new MV, filming the product in Europe. When many people were pushing the quality of the MV to a high level, she did not want her product to be sloppy. The footage of the scenery in Santorini (Greece) was carefully taken care of in terms of camera angle, composition as well as lighting color, to highlight the happy emotions of the young couple on their honeymoon. Many passionate kissing scenes between Huong Giang and her Western co-star were shown in the MV.

Because of love, we get married is a catchy EDM song in the Chillstep genre written by musician Van Thien Hanh. The music genre is a mix of Chillout and Dubstep. The remix was done by DJ 9jik. The singer hopes the song will be popular during this year's wedding season.
