(Baonghean.vn) - On April 19th, at Cam Ranh Naval Port, a delegation from the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Central Propaganda Department, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the Department of Military Supplies, the General Department of Logistics, and various localities and units began boarding naval vessels to visit Truong Sa and the DK1 platform.
The delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung, with Rear Admiral Nguyen Ngoc Tuong, Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy, as deputy head. Also accompanying the delegation were representatives from central ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as local agencies and units nationwide.

According to the plan, the delegation will travel by ship HQ 561 on a voyage to visit islands in the Truong Sa archipelago, including Da Lon, Son Ca, Nam Yet, Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Truong Sa Dong, Da Tay, Da Lat, and the DK1 Phuc Tan platform, etc.

The trip demonstrated a sense of responsibility and affection for Truong Sa, assessing the real-life situation and encouraging officers, soldiers, and people of Truong Sa district and the DK1 platform to remain confident and enthusiastic, overcome all difficulties and challenges, stand firm in the face of harsh conditions, and excellently fulfill the task of firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the nation's sea, islands, and continental shelf.

Before embarking on the voyage, the delegates received briefings from the Navy and the Command of Region 4 on several key tasks of the trip, and launched a competition during the mission with the determination to complete the mission at the highest level.

At exactly 4 PM, after three enthusiastic and urgent blasts of the horn, the ship HQ 561 officially left Cam Ranh port, beginning its voyage to Truong Sa and the DK1 platform.
