(Baonghean) - On September 7, 2018, at the Industrial Park in the special economic zone "Kaluga" Borovsk district, Kaluga province, TH Group held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of TH Milk Processing Factory with a capacity of 1,500 tons/day, among the factories with the largest milk processing capacity in the Russian Federation.

This factory is part of a closed production chain of dairy products and healthy beverages under the TH Group's $2.7 billion high-tech dairy farming and milk processing complex project in the Russian Federation.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony was honored with the participation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong; Mr. Alexei Vasilievich Gordeev - Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Mr. Pham Binh Minh - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Party Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission; Mr. Anotoly Dmitriyevich Artamonov - Governor of Kaluga province and senior leaders of the two countries and Kaluga province.

TH Group's market research shows that Russia's dairy market includes products from fresh milk (drinking milk, yogurt, etc.); cheese; margarine/milk; condensed milk; tvorog; ice cream and desserts, of which, drinking milk products and yogurt alone account for 46% of raw milk. According to statistics from 2013 to 2017, the amount of raw milk produced in Russia is about 20 million tons, accounting for 76% of the amount of raw milk produced, the amount of milk lacking imported from abroad accounts for 24%, equivalent to 7 million tons/year.

TH Milk Processing Plant has Bilfinger Tebodin as its design contractor, installing fully automated technology from the world's most prestigious and modern auxiliary technology suppliers. The plant's products will meet the traditional consumption needs of Russian people, while also having a special creativity when developing beverage product lines with TH's special formula, as well as raw materials that are completely natural, fresh, delicious, and nutritious; including milk and dairy products such as: pasteurized fresh milk, sterilized fresh milk, various types of yogurt - Smetana, Yoghurt; drinking yogurt; kefir; ryazenka; cream; butter; cheese. Ms. Vu Thu Hang - Communications Director of TH Group shared: The output of fresh milk and products of the TH High-tech Dairy Farming and Milk Processing Project Complex across Russia as well as the TH Milk Processing Factory in Kaluga - when completed, will not only contribute to making up for the milk shortage in Russia but also aim to export to international markets, especially the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets.

TH Group's high-tech dairy farming and milk processing complex project in the Russian Federation has a total investment capital of 2.7 billion USD in the Russian Federation. The project is implemented in 3 phases. When the project is completed in phase 3, the total number of dairy cows is expected to be: 350,000, the total milk processing capacity is 5,900 tons/day, equivalent to nearly 1,800,000 tons/year, the total area of ​​concentrated raw materials is 140,000 hectares. The Group also plans to establish a distribution chain with 300 True Mart stores across Russia.

Within the framework of the Groundbreaking Ceremony, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and senior leaders of the two countries planted a red maple tree as a souvenir symbolizing the sustainable development of the TH brand and the Vietnam-Russia friendship. Speaking at the ceremony, the General Secretary highly appreciated the efforts of TH Group, the first private enterprise of Vietnam to invest in the agriculture of the Russian Federation with a large capital and a very humane goal, which is to create clean, high-quality products to serve the community. “I was very impressed when I heard the report on the investment process of TH Group in the Russian Federation, the plans and development directions of the group in the coming time. The first milk processing factory of TH Group in the Russian Federation, which was started today in the Kaluga Special Economic Zone, will be one of the largest and most modern milk factories in the Russian Federation, producing Vietnamese branded products in Russia. The project not only contributes to increasing trade and investment exchanges between the two countries, but also demonstrates sharing and accompanying Russia in restoring and developing its agricultural production, which used to be the world's leading one. Thus, in addition to its economic significance, the project also has an important political significance, enriching Vietnam - Russia cooperation in addition to other traditional fields such as military technology, education and training. The project also demonstrates the ability of Vietnamese enterprises to integrate into the international market, boldly applying the world's advanced technology to increase productivity and product quality. This could be the beginning of an investment trend between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, when Vietnamese enterprises begin to invest in Russia," the General Secretary emphasized.

Mr. Alexei Vasilievich Gordeev - Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation also noted that the TH Group Project, including a complex of dairy farms and a milk processing plant, is currently the most important investment project of the Russian Federation in Kaluga province. In particular, the factory with a processing capacity of 1,500 tons/day will become the factory with the largest capacity in Russia, using entirely fresh milk from TH dairy farms in Moscow and Kaluga, bringing the best dairy products to the Russian people.

In addition to the TH Fresh Milk Processing Plant in Kaluga Province, TH Group is considering building farm complexes and milk processing plants in Tyumen Province and the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Group is also implementing a livestock and milk processing project in Primorye Province, Far East region, Russian Federation.

Along with clean fresh milk and organic fresh milk, TH Group will invest in producing other organic foods such as vegetables, fruits, and medicinal herbs to supply the Russian market and neighboring countries.
