Huu Khuong is bustling with 'Olympic Running Day for the health of all people'
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2024), on March 26, the People's Committee of Huu Khuong commune coordinated with departments, branches, organizations and Huu Khuong Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Tuong Duong) to organize "Olympic Running Day for the health of all people".
The program took place with the participation of more than 300 students, officials and people of Huu Khuong commune.
Huu Khuong used to be a remote commune, facing many difficulties with "4 no's": no road, no electricity, no market, no phone signal. Thanks to the efforts of the Party Committee, government and all levels, the commune has had many positive changes, especially in terms of traffic infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development and improving people's lives.
"Olympic Running Day for the Health of the People" is a meaningful sports activity, contributing to raising people's awareness of the importance of physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho. This is also an opportunity for people of Huu Khuong commune to exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity, and demonstrate the will to excel in study and in life.
This is also an opportunity for the commune to affirm its achievements in socio-economic development, and at the same time, promote the image of the homeland and people of Huu Khuong (Tuong Duong) to tourists.
