Bayern Munich thrashed Barca 4-0, opening the door to the final.
A brace from Thomas Mueller, along with goals from Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben, helped Bayern secure a resounding 4-0 victory over Barcelona. This win opens the door for Bayern to reach the Champions League final this season.
This victory also helped Bayern settle the score with the Catalan team exactly four years ago. Back then, Bayern lost 0-4 to Barca at Nou Camp, and then watched their rivals advance with an aggregate score of 5-1.
For Barcelona, this was a truly painful defeat, and only a miracle could help them pull off an "impossible" comeback in the second leg of the semi-final at Nou Camp next week.

Bayern thrashed Barcelona.
Entering this match, Jupp Heynckes fielded a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Mario Gomez playing as the lone striker. Playing just behind the German forward were the trio of Mueller, Robben, and Ribery.
Meanwhile, coach Tito Vilano decided to field Lionel Messi from the start, forming a formidable attacking trio with Pedro and Sanchez for Barcelona.
In Barcelona's lineup, two other key players, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, also started the match.
Tito also decided to pair Bartra with Pique in central defense, with Alves and Alba on the flanks.
The match between Bayern and Barca was exciting right from the opening whistle of referee Kassai. Robben had the first chance, but his shot from inside the penalty area failed to beat Valdes.
Following Robben's missed opportunity, Bayern continued to play a high-pressing game, forcing Barca to play defensively. This meant the Catalan team was unable to create any chances towards the home team's goal.
With the pitch wet and somewhat waterlogged, Barcelona faced considerable difficulties in implementing their short-passing and technical style of play.
15th minute,Lahm unleashed a long-range shot, but it was a miss. The ball went straight to Pique and out of bounds. However, slow-motion replays showed the ball had struck the hand of Barcelona's number 3 defender.
In the 18th minute, Lahm once again tormented the Catalan team's defense with his rapid run, but he could only manage to win a corner kick.
In contrast to Lahm, Lionel Messi – the most anticipated player in the Barcelona lineup for this match – is still playing rather poorly.
In the minutes that have passed, Bayern have remained the dominant team, continuously creating dangerous opportunities towards Barcelona's goal.
After tireless efforts, Bayern finally scored the opening goal. In the 24th minute, Dante rose high to head the ball, and Mueller headed it in. 1-0 for the Bavarians.
After conceding a goal, Barca proactively played a more attacking game. In the 29th minute, Pedro delivered a dangerous cross across the face of Neuer's goal, but luckily Dante was quick to react and clear the ball just before Messi could get to it.
In the 32nd minute, the ball once again touched the hand of a Barca player, this time Sanchez. However, referee Kassai did not blow the whistle.
In the remaining minutes of the match, Barcelona remained frustrated by a Bayern team that was not only solid in defense but also very dangerous in attack.
The first half of the match ended with a 1-0 lead for Bayern.
Just like the opening minutes of the first half, the second half unfolded at a very fast pace. In the 59th minute, Bayern doubled their lead. From Robben's corner kick, Mueller rose high to head the ball into the box for Gomez to tap it in from close range. 2-0 for Bayern. However, replays showed that Gomez was offside.
In the 52nd minute, Mueller unleashed a powerful shot, but the ball unfortunately went wide of the goal. Less than four minutes later, Robben made a delicate pass, setting up Ribery for a shot across the face of Valdes' goal.
While Bayern were playing with great enthusiasm, Barcelona were struggling. Lionel Messi was constantly surrounded by Bayern players whenever he had the ball.
For the past 10 minutes, Barca have had more possession than Bayern. However, Barca's attacks have yet to find the quickest way to score against Neuer.
In the 69th minute, Barcelona finally had their first shot on goal against Bayern. However, young defender Bartra's shot was unable to beat goalkeeper Neuer.
With a two-goal lead, coach Jupp Heynckes made some personnel changes. Gustavo was brought on to replace Mario Gomez, aiming to strengthen the midfield for Bayern Munich.
In the 73rd minute, Robben produced a superb solo run down the right wing before bursting into the penalty area and curling a shot past Valdes, making it 3-0. Mueller once again played a key role in this play, acting as a shield to block Alba's run-up save.
In the 76th minute, Xavi took a very good free kick, allowing Bartra to control the ball and take a shot, but his shot went too high over Neuer's goal.
In the 79th minute, Mueller had a solo run past both Alba and Pique, but unfortunately, the midfielder's final shot couldn't beat Valdes.
However, Mueller didn't have too much to regret about that missed opportunity. Because just two minutes later, he scored his second goal of the match to increase Bayern's lead to 4-0. Abala delivered a precise cross for Mueller to tap the ball in, beating Valdes.
Despite their best efforts in the final minutes, Barca couldn't even score a consolation goal to salvage any hope. With a 0-4 defeat, Barcelona faced elimination from the Champions League.
