Mobilizing resources to effectively implement goals for children
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 18, the Sponsorship Council and the Children's Support Fund of Nghe An province held a meeting to listen to the results of 1 year of implementing the Project "Mobilizing social resources to support children in extremely disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Children in special and difficult circumstances in the province for the period 2021-2025" and the implementation plan in the following years.

In recent years, the work of protecting, caring for and educating children in the province has received attention from the Party Committee, government, organizations and people in the province; the mobilization and use of resources to implement goals for children have become increasingly effective; the work of protecting, caring for and building a safe and healthy living environment for children has been focused on; the health, culture, spirit, social welfare and rights of children have been increasingly focused on.
In particular, the implementation results of Decision No. 2338/QD-UBND dated July 7, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on the Project "Mobilizing social resources to support children in extremely disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; children in special and difficult circumstances in Nghe An province for the period 2021-2025" have achieved important results.

Regarding the mobilization of support resources, in 2021, the whole province mobilized over 30.2 billion VND. Of which, the social mobilization source of the whole province was nearly 25.8 billion VND and the provincial and district budget source was over 4.4 billion VND. From mobilized sources, 78,558 children from communes with special difficulties in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province were supported through various forms, such as: Nutrition support; support for participation in cultural, recreational and entertainment activities; support for warm clothes; support for scholarships and study costs, helping children have the opportunity to continue studying, develop comprehensively and improve in life.
In the period 2022 - 2025, the Fund's Sponsorship Council strives to mobilize over 93 billion VND to support and help children in 76 communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

At the conference, members of the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsorship Council, along with representatives of sponsors and businesses, focused on speaking and contributing many important ideas to further improve the quality of activities of the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsorship Council; at the same time, calling on departments, branches, businesses, and philanthropists to continue to join hands to help and share the difficulties and disadvantages that disadvantaged and disabled children in Nghe An are suffering.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long - Chairman of the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsorship Council acknowledged and thanked the benefactors who sponsored, cooperated and accompanied the province to help children in especially difficult circumstances, especially in ethnic minority areas, contributing to the effective implementation of target programs for children in Nghe An.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to continue implementing solutions to effectively implement the project in the 2022-2025 period. In particular, focusing on a number of key tasks such as: Maintaining child support activities, ensuring concentration and focus; prioritizing new programs such as: Warm winter clothes, medical examination and medicine, clean water supply, building schools, boarding houses, etc. so that many children in especially disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas can benefit.
The Sponsoring Council and sponsors need to coordinate with localities to review and complete the database to provide data on children in need of help. The support must be carefully surveyed to ensure the correct address and target. In addition, focus on promoting communication about the goals, solutions and results of the project implementation, mobilizing support and contributions from all social classes, philanthropists and donors at home and abroad to help children in special and difficult circumstances.

The conference also announced Decision No. 5091 dated December 27, 2021 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the consolidation of the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsorship Council. Accordingly, the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsorship Council has 18 official members, with Mr. Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, as Chairman of the Council; Mr. Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, as Permanent Vice Chairman of the Council; 02 Vice Chairmen of the Council are representatives of the leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Director of the Provincial Children's Fund. The Council is responsible for developing working regulations, determining the direction and plan of the Nghe An Children's Fund.
On this occasion, the Provincial Children's Fund Sponsorship Council awarded certificates of honor to 3 outstanding sponsors who have generously helped children in special and difficult circumstances in Nghe An province in 2021.
