On October 5, Mr. Son Minh Thang, Deputy Standing Committee of the Southwest Steering Committee, signed to cancel the decisions related to the acceptance and appointment of Mr. Vu Minh Hoang, former Deputy Head of the Economic Department of this agency.
"Mr. Vu Minh Hoang is no longer a civil servant or officer of the Southwest Steering Committee. We are inviting Mr. Hoang to the office to receive the above decisions," said the leader of the Southwest Steering Committee.
This move was made after the Can Tho People's Committee cancelled the decision to appoint Mr. Vu Minh Hoang as Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Center and returned the deputy's file to the Southwest Steering Committee.
Previously, when the Central Inspection Committee determined that the Southwest Steering Committee's appointment of Mr. Vu Minh Hoang as Deputy Head of the Economic Department was wrong.
At the same time, the People's Committee of Can Tho City accepted and appointed Mr. Vu Minh Hoang as Deputy Director of the Center for Investment - Trade Promotion and Exhibition Fair, which also violated the principles and procedures on personnel work.
According to records, in June 2014, the Southwest Steering Committee recruited Mr. Vu Minh Hoang, with a master's degree in International Development, to work at the General Research Department.
Three months later, Mr. Hoang was sent by his agency to study for a doctorate in Japan for three years. In early 2016, after completing his internship, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Economic Department. 32 days later, the Deputy Director was transferred to work as Deputy Director of the Can Tho Investment Promotion Center.
Regarding violations at the Southwest Steering Committee, including the appointment of 32 cases that did not ensure principles, two weeks ago, Mr. Nguyen Phong Quang - former Standing Deputy Head, Head of the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee - was disciplined by the Secretariat in the form of: Removal from all positions in the Party.
